My Sweet girl,

Its been a year since you were so suddenly taken from us. I think of you every day and tears are never far away. I miss you SO much!

I miss ...... you standing by my bed waiting to give me a morning kiss when I woke each morning and hearing your plaintive yelp each night telling me it was time for us all to go to bed and sleep.

I miss ..... the way on rainy mornings you'd poke your nose out of the door, sniff the air in disgust and promptly retire to bed. And when the rain had stopped you gingerly step outside and walk up the drive avoiding any wet blades of grass.

I miss ...... watching your stocky body hurtle down the garden after Chloe, your legs going nineteen to the dozen .... she was much too fast and you could never catch up with her could you?

I remember our walks and how when you decided you'd walked enough, you'd grab Chloe's lead and drag up all back home. How you always refused to walk past the cemetary because the headstones spooked you ..... did you sense something I couldn't?

The house is silent since you've been gone ... no more zoomies round the house with Chloe. No toys littering the floor or cushions and rugs scattered. So many memories!

You were a wonderful dog M'boi, a credit to your breed and I was honoured to have known you. You were my friend, companion and confidante who stood by me in good times and in bad.

RIP my lovely girl.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and good wishes ... they mean a lot to me.

Lulu, What a lovely verse ... one I won't forget.

lowe40 .... I'm so sorry for your loss ... I don't think the pain every goes away completely.

Southern Belle .... You asked how Chloe and I are doing.

I'll start with me first. Last September the leg I broke the previous December started giving problems again and I'm now only able to hobble around on crutches. Very frustrating! I'm in the UK at present staying with my son and family, and am booked into hospital this weekend to have a hip replacement. Can't wait to get it over and done with and be able to walk on two legs again ... not one! The specialist says I should make a rapid recovery as I'm small, lightweight and in good health so I'm feeling optomistic.

As for Chloe, well she's her usual happy go lucky self (Tibetan Spaniels never seem to have "off" days), and being a "bossy boots" ... she has all the family organised and wrapped around her paw. I love my funny quirky little girl to bits!

All being well, I'll be back home in Hungary by mid June and hope to have a Peiby baby sister (from the same breeder as Yves Pernelle) for Chloe and Sashi in time for Christmas. Should be fun as no doubt Chloe will teach her lots of bad habits and Sashicat will take care of her diet by keeping her supplied with dead mice .... LOL!

My best wishes to everyone and hugs to your Pei boys and girls.
