I am posting this here to help anyone that is unsure on how to post photos on the forum, it is an easy step by step guide (an idiots guide)!!!

it is the way i learnt how to use photobucket, instructions were given to me by hubby (i have difficulties in folowing instructions but these are easy!)

I know that a few of the members out there have these instructions and have been able to follow them

firstly you need a photobucket account, http://www.photobucket.com open an account it is free!
when you have done this it is really simple, ill do it step by step!!!


1. there is a box that says Upload Images & Video,make sure in the little box where it says reduce photos to you choose large. click on the darker blue button that says choose files
2. this will open a seperate box on the computer that will show your files on your computer, click on wherever your photos are stored (normally in my pictures)
3. highlight the photos you want to load onto photobucket, (to highlight more than one push and hold down the ctrl button and click on the photos)
4. click on the button that says open
5. you will then go back onto the photobucket page, and you will see the photos beeing uploaded (dont come off this page or it will stop uploading) it may take a few mins depending on how many photos, i dont normally do more than 10 at a time.
6. when they have been uploaded you can give them a title, then click return to album
7. run the mouse over the photo you want to use in your post, a little box will drop down with some codes on it, you want the IMG code, it is the bottom one, left click on the code so it goes blue, then right click it and click on copy
8. return to the forum page that you are writing your message on and right click and paste, on the message you writng it comes up as a code but on the forum it comes out as a picture!!!!!

You do need to be signed in to upload your photos.

If you delete the photos off photobucket the link and the photo on the forum will also be lost.

Now for videos!!!! I THINK i have it sorted!!!!!!

1. Go to http://www.youtube.com and sign up for an account.... once again it is free!

2. Once you have signed in click the Gold upload button:
it will take you to your computer on a seperate small pop up, where you need to select what video you want to upload.

3. Double click on it and it will upload, while it is doing that you can add title and description.

4. When the video has uploaded it gives you an option to upload more or go to your videos.

5. click go to my videos:
here you get the option to change background music etc! (i haven't sussed this out as yet)

6. click on play (this takes you to a larger screen)
in the right hand side of the screen there is a box, in this box there is a smaller box that gives the ulr.

7. Left click on the ulr to highlight it in blue

8. Right click, click on copy,

9. Come back to the forum and right click on the part of your message where you want the video and paste

10. When you have submitted your post the link will be there in blue to click on!!!!!!

I used photobucket to do this.....

follow instructions:
IN STEP 1. instead of uploading your picture as large upload as tiny.
FOLLOW THROUGH TO STEP 6.

7. Run the mouse over the picture you want to use and left click on the DIRECT LINK CODE (it will highlight in blue.
Then right click copy.

8. on sharpei forum, go to control panel, (top right hand side of the page there is a link to get you there)

9. on the left of the screen there is a part that says PROFILE click on it,
then click on EDIT AVATAR.

10. There is an area that says Upload from a URL: in the space next to it you need to right click on it, then left click copy, (you should then have the link to the photo appear)

11. Click on SUBMIT at the bottom of your page and the avatar should be set!

SIGNATURES!!!!!

Photobucket once again!!!!!

NOTE if you don't receive / see signatures you may need to set your profile to do so (i had mine turned off!!!)
go to control panel, then go to board preferences, then edit display options, check that the signature is ticked to yes!!!!!!
