Hi all

Is it ok to mix tripe and (grain free) kibble or sardines and kibble or raw meat and kibble?

Or is it best for meat to be cooked if feeding with kibble?

I want to supplement my grain free kibble with some nice bits for the dogs and have read that mixing kibble with raw is not good but not sure and I am positive my dogs would enjoy some nice bits! I already mix sardines (once a week) with kibble and pineapple with mylos but not lily's.

Please let me know what you think :-)

Thanks

I don't feed raw, I cook for my dogs, but I mix it with kibble and it's fine. IMO the "don't mix raw and kibble" is one of many nutrition related myths.

Thanks Banzai,

in the past my family and I have fed our other dogs tripe mixed in with their food (kibble) without issues...
I'm not sure why people say you shouldn't do this other than for weight maybe? My dogs never had upset stomachs from this and just seemed to enjoy their food a little bit more than normal!

It's nice for them to have a little something extra I think and people cook veggies etc and add them so why not meat :-)

cool thanks for the help, just when I looked at mixing tripe there is so many places saying do not mix raw and kibble but I can't see the problem if I'm just going to mix a little. (I really don't want to cook the tripe it stinks lol)

:-)

Whats left I put in an air tight container and keep in fridge not longer then 3 days.
