She is growing fast. Her coat looks great. Both your daughter and Chyna are beautiful it's my favorite picture.

Yes, she had her eyes tacked at 4 weeks old. In those last few pics, she is asleep sitting up.

33 pounds at 19 weeks. She is growing fast! Samson was 31 pounds at 21 weeks on Monday. How much are you feeding her, and what? She reminds me very much of our Maggie who we lost in June. She was beautiful too.

She starts her day with a 4 mile walk, she is off the lead most of the time, running around. We're lucky in that we live only 1/2 a mile from the countryside. So its over the fields and through the woods. When we get back I make her either scrambled eggs and sausage / black pudding (A blood sausage made from blood and fat). I alternate each day with that or lambs kidney / liver. She would then get some JWB cereal free dried food around lunchtime, later she will get meat scraps cooked with mixed veg or fish (sardines, pilchards or mackerel) . She sometimes gets small pieces of cheese as a treat. We have three cats and she will eat their food if we don't watch her. I think the weight is down to muscle, she doesn't have a belly on her..lol.. she gets another 4 mile walk in the afternoon, and a brief walk before we go to bed.

Fantastic regimen and clearly agrees with her. As the old saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Wow. That is quite a regimen. More than Samson gets, but also more food than he gets. Great results though! Good work.

Chyna is beautiful and she looks so regal in those standing poses! :)
Tobler is 57 pounds of pure muscle. Maybe she's going to be big like him.
They do grow up too fast. I miss the days when I could pick him up!

Chyna is 25 weeks old now and has hit 40lb. I met another Shar Pei owner last week, which is very rare as I haven't seen another in our area. She had a two year old female called Daisy (I don't have any pics of her as I didn't have my camera with me) who she had rescued from a shelter. Daisy was alot smaller in height and weighed 36ib. She had a squatter face and was broader across the shoulders than Chyna. The woman said that Chyna was a bone mouth whilst Daisy was a meat mouth. I've researched the difference and I think she might be a tweeny. Her brothers are all much bigger and broader in the head size. She has become taller and slender. She has just finished her first season which has been interesting, I've never seen a dog pee as much whilst out walking. She wasn't happy, as She has been on an extendable lead for her walks for the last three weeks, instead of off the lead.

Here's some pics of her progress.
