Does anyone use Bio Spot?

I saw it in my Dr Foster and Smith catalog and it is very reasonably priced.

I currently use K9 Advantix II on Seaver, but am looking for a cat-friendlier preventative as we're getting a cat next month and I didn't realise how toxic the K9 Advantix II was to cats.

Thanks!

I use Biospotix on M'boi and Chloe ...... It's a spray which gives 48 hour protection .... we don't have any fleas over here and the girls only pick up two or three ticks a year.
I haven't tried Biospot on Sashicat so can't comment.
I use Bob Martin Spot On which I find very effective. I've used Bob Martin products including Tick and Flea treatment for both dogs and cats for the last 40 years without any ill effects.
I'm not sure though whether it's marketed in the US.

i've never used bio spot and am hesitant to use anything not recommended by a veterinarian to be honest, and i'm not just saying that because i work for one. i use frontline on my dogs (and i have 2 cats) and have never had a problem.

hum, idk about bio-spot but the advantix is deffinatly on my s-list. i put it on lola last week and she had a terrible reaction, i usually use frontline. i went outside of the box and my poor baby had a terrible reaction to the advantix. im gonna stick w/ the frontline, cuz for me its what works.
i guess you will have to find out what works best for your pets. good luck

That's a fair point. My vet told me that Frontline is less effective these days... that's why I changed to Advantix II... but I can't use AII with a cat coming next month. What wormer do you use?

i've not had an issue with frontline since i've been using it (for about 7 years now) as harrison is allergic to fleas so i HAVE to use it...it absorbs through the oil glands in the dogs body in about 24 hours and after that they're good to go. i use heartgard or interceptor (depending on which i have on hand at the time) for my de-wormer...both are excellent general dewormers for round, hook and heartworms, intercepter also gets whipworms.
