Here is a very interesting article for bathing your dog. Since many people have Shar Pei with skin issues this is a very good read.

I like it but I would hesitate to use a vinegar rinse on my dog.
Just me. Love it otherwise. Great find!

I have used vinegar without a problem, Lemon as well. As far as not using human shampoo - that has never been an issue to my thinking so good to know . I always Rinse a lot as well.

I've used vinegar rinse on my dogs without issues. The part about not using oatmeal shampoo on dogs with yeast issues was very interesting. She did say if the dogs smells like Frito's it could have yeast issues. I find Dr. Becker very informative.

Doesn't the vinegar help keep the fleas and ticks away, too?

Every time we wash our dog he goes straight outside and rolls in the dirt, if we used vinegar he would just lick it off.

Bathing mine is like bathing 60 lbs cats...a battle all the way thru.

I must be lucky. Jia just stands there so good. She doesn't even try to jump out of the tub. She does try to shake her fur, though. But I just tell her no, and then pull the shower curtain closed when she is done and she shakes away. I make sure to have her go outside before I give her a bath. She does rub all over the carpet when she is done, but she gets fairly dry with a good towel rub, so she doesn't get the carpets too wet. I think it helps that I have an attachement on my shower head, kind of like a sprayer that is in the kitchen sink, only it attaches to the shower and isn't such a sharp spray.
