Murphi's been throwing up his food and has been doing it now for 2 nights in a row, he stopped for 1 night and then did it again last night. He has lost weight, not real active and his stools are normal. I'm trying to call the vet's office, they are suppose to be open today at 9am but so far NO ONE is answering.
This sucks!!

Sheli,
Anything new added to his diet recently? Have you checked his temp.? Any other symptoms beside the vomiting and loss of appetite?

He doesn't have a temp. and his eating is okay, drinking water like normal. I decided to feed him alittle and see if he holds it in and then i'll feed him alittle more later. I called 2 vets and couldn't get him in anywhere but if he doesn't hold in the food we are going to emergency

A lot of Vet's offices are closed for the 4th of July weekend. I hope that Murphi can hold his food down this time. Sometimes you have to rest their tummy's for 24 hours. It's good that he is drinking water as not to dehydrate. His stool being normal is a good sign as well. Keep us updated Sheli!

Pups do get stomach bugs here and there, maybe they eat something weird in the yard, get a bad bit of food, who knows.
Have there been any changes in his urination?

Have there been any changes in his urination? Murphi's not one to eat anything out in the yard......but, he could have and i didn't see him. So far his urination is the same, nothing different.

Lots of reasons why they can vomit from time to time....even eating dry food and then drinking too much water (causing food to swell) can make some vomit. Serenity sometimes will run around too much after eating and then will vomit part of her food. Kwan Yin used to do that too sometimes. Could be nervous stomach too....been alot of stress around there the last couple weeks, probably folks in the area lighting fireworks too and Murphi IS very sensitive. Definitely watch for additional symptoms and if he vomits again I would withold food for 12-24 hrs and just give liquids. If more symptoms maybe head to the Vet but it may be nothing serious so dont fret too much either....just keep an eye and monitor temps too. Remember that FSF dogs often can spike a fever during stressful holidays like Christmas & Independence day so dont panic if he does just manage it and call emergency Vet if concerned. I should be around most of the weekend so feel free to call if ya need anything.

Stress is the first thing i thought of too, but he doesn't look real good, i think......when he feels bad his muzzle starts to look kinda white and of course deflated.

How's he feeling tonight? Hope he's doing ok. Has his ears been bothering him any? Wondering if he could have drainage in his tummy causing the vomiting.

Hey my girl, whats going on with r buddy here? Ok, well u know when Ritz was ill from time to time and didn't want to eat I made always made sure I had that Peiyalite around for him to drink, sometimes I think it really helped him even when he had a few fevers in the past. It's good the murphi is drinking water so u might want to try some Ped. to. Somehow I believe it helps put elctrolyes or what ever that is called back into there body. If he hasn't eaten to much why not try and give him some chicken broth remember i use to make Ritz chicken broth with rice or chicken, but, he might just only be able to take the rice with broth to help settle his tummy. If I know the murphi he would swollen that up in a second. Can it be the heat there. I know my Pei's would get feeling ill when its to hot. Tummy vominting and tired, oh but us said he is running and playing. Crud im ill to the heat here its been ugly hot. U know how confusing our Pei's can be they always keep us on r toes.
I home give me a call, I emailed u earlier. Sheli, give murphi a big squeeze for me with a hug and a kiss. Im saying a prayer for him today and for all the family. I luv ya gir, u've always been the bestl. I'm here for u, ok.
Luv Debbie

Can you give us an idea of his values?
Don't panic. This isn't necessarily a rapid life sentence. Can you tell us what your vet said?
Is he retaining fluid, or drinking heavily?
